Coleslaw Recipe

If your coleslaw recipes are starting to get repetitive, it’s time to try something different. The following should help restore flavor and taste to those cabbages.

Coleslaw with Celery Salt

Ingredients

5 cups of cabbage (shredded)
2 tbsp of vinegar
2 ½ tbsp of sugar
½ cup of mayonnaise
2 carrots (diced)
½ tsp of salt
2 tbsp of vegetable oil
½ tsp of celery salt

Instructions

Put the cabbage in a bowl. Toss in the carrots as well. Put the other ingredients in another bowl. Mix them and pour over the cabbage and carrots. Toss the mix. Keep it in the fridge until it’s time to serve. This simple coleslaw recipe is good for six servings.

Coleslaw with Whipping Cream

Ingredients

2 lbs of cabbage (shredded)
1 tsp of salt
2 tsp of vinegar
1 carrot (crushed)
½ cup of granulated sugar
1 cup of whipping cream

Instructions

Put the cabbage in a bowl. Store it in the fridge. In the meantime get another bowl and combine all the other ingredients in a bowl. Add more vinegar and salt if desired. Take out the cabbage and toss it in the bowl. Mix it well. This coleslaw is served cool.

Coleslaw with Brown Sugar

Ingredients

2 tbsp of water
2 cups of cabbage (shredded)
2 tbsp of vinegar
½ tsp of salt
2 tbsp of brown sugar
¼ tsp of pepper
2 tbsp of bacon drippings
1 onion (crushed)

Instructions

Begin making this coleslaw recipe by combining the onion and cabbage in a bowl. Pour the water, vinegar and bacon juice on a saucepan. Add some salt, sugar and pepper to it. Let this mixture simmer. Sprinkle it over the cabbage. Toss the mixture. Top it with some pepper rings if you like. Serve this warm.

Coleslaw with Mustard

Ingredients

1/3 tsp of celery salt
1 tbsp of oil
1/3 tsp of onion powder
¼ tsp of dry mustard
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 tbsp of sugar
1/3 tsp of black pepper
1 tbsp of lemon juice
1 ½ tsp of white wine vinegar
½ tsp of salt
½ cup of milk and cream
1 cabbage (large, shredded)

Instructions

Mix the mayonnaise with the oil and vinegar. Add flavor to this homemade coleslaw recipe by adding some onion powder to the mix. Throw in the lemon juice, pepper and salt. Add the mustard, milk and cream. Stir the mix until it turns smooth. Pour this concoction over the cabbage. Allow it to cool in the fridge before serving.

Coleslaw with Seasonings

Ingredients

2 cups of cabbage (shredded)
½ cup of mayonnaise
3 tbsp of heavy cream
½ tsp of celery seed
Seasonings (a tsp of vinegar, thyme, onions, parsley, etc)
Salt and pepper

Instructions

Get a mixing bowl and mix all the ingredients. Add more mayonnaise if necessary. Top the seasonings with pepper. Store this in the fridge before serving.

These coleslaw recipes can be taken with your favorite sandwiches. You can also flavor them with other herbs if you like.
