Country Fried Steak Recipe

Steak is one of the most popular dishes worldwide. In order to enjoy such delightful dish, one of the best ways of preparing it is to make country fried steak recipes. Two of these are Country Fried Steak with Rice and Country Fried Steak with Gravy. These homemade dishes are very easy to prepare and makes use of simple, cheap and traditional ingredients. Country Fried Steak with Rice

For this one, you need at least 1½-pound of fresh round steak, ¾-cup cooking and a cup of flour. Aside from these, you must also prepare a pinch or two of salt as well as a pinch or two of pepper. Cut the steak into smaller pieces. For the rice, the ingredients are 2-cups water and a cup of rice.

Start by coating the steak with a cup of flour. Be sure that there is enough flour for the gravy. Put the cooking oil right onto the frying pan. Set the stove to medium-heat. Country Fried Steak with Gravy

This is another sure way of making tasty, juicy and delicious country fried steak. The ingredients are 1/8-teaspoon pepper, ½-cup all-purpose flour and 4-ounces of cubed steaks. In addition, prepare a can or 10¾-ounces of cream of mushroom soup, 3-tablespoons shortening and a cup of finely crushed saltine crackers. Of course, do not forget a cup of milk.

Get a shallow dish and then mix pepper and flour. Aside from that, get another and then pour on it the buttermilk. Get a third plate and then spread the crushed crackers on top of it. Dip the steak first in the flour, second in the buttermilk and third in the crackers.

Set the stove to medium-high heat. Put the skillet on top of it. Melt the shortening and then slowly add the steak. Fry until it achieves a golden brown color. Remove from the skillet and then place in a clean plate topped with paper towel. Go back to the skillet and then make the gravy. For this, simply add the milk and mushroom soup to the drippings. Stir and wait for it to boil. Serve together with the steaks. Enjoy.
