Quick and Easy Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

½ cup of sugar
3 cups of flour
½ tsp of baking powder
1 ½ tbsp of vanilla
1 egg (large)
2/3 cup of sugar
3 cups of flour

Instructions

Mix the sugar and butter until it becomes creamy. Add the vanilla and egg. Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Toss in the creamy mix. Stir it and store in the fridge for an hour. Take out the dough and roll it. To finish up this sugar cookie recipe, slice the dough with a cookie cutter. Bake it for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Sugar Cookies with Lemon

Ingredients

4 egg yolks
1 tsp of lemon
¾ cup of shortening
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of salt
2 cups of granulated sugar
¼ cup of butter
1 ½ cups of milk
½ tsp of nutmeg
4 cups of all purpose flour
1 tbsp of baking powder
1 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions

Mix the butter, sugar and shortening in a bowl. Add one egg yolk at a time, beating it well. Continue making this tasty sugar cookie recipe by putting the vanilla in the milk. Add the baking soda too. Stir it. Get another bowl and combine the baking powder, salt and flour. Add the nutmeg too. Sift it. Combine these with the creamy mix. Add the dry mix, alternating it with the milk.

Get a teaspoonful of the mix and place it on the baking sheet. Top each one with some cinnamon. Bake it for 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Put the cookies in a sealed container.

Sugar Cookies with Raisins

Ingredients

1 cup of butter
2 tbsp of milk
2 tsp of baking powder
½ tsp of salt
1 tsp of vanilla extract
3 cups of flour
2 cups of granulated sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
1 cup of raisins

Instructions

Start this sugar cookie recipe by mixing the butter and sugar. Toss in the milk, eggs and vanilla. Stir it well. Get another bowl and mix the baking powder, salt and flour. Add this to the creamy mix. Pour in the raisins. Mix it. Cover it and keep in the fridge for 4 hours.

Take it out from the fridge. Cut the dough into ¾” balls. Put these on a baking sheet. Each one should be spaced by at least 2 inches. Top it with some sugar. Bake it for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

Note: you can substitute lemon for the vanilla flavoring. You can also replace the raisins with some chocolate chips or fruit bits. You can also add some pecans and other nuts. Just mix them as you did the raisins in this recipe.
