Beef Stew Recipe

1 tbsp of olive oil
3 tbsp of flour

1 1/3 cups of onion
10 ounces of mushrooms
1 cup of celery
1/3 cup of pearled barley
2 cups of carrots
Beef broth
1 bay leaf
2 cups of turnips (chopped)
1 cup of potatoes
1 cup of green peas (thawed)

Start this homemade beef stew recipe by cooking the bacon in a stockpot at medium low heat. Keep cooking until it gets crisp. Put the beef stew in a bowl. Put in the flour, salt (½ tsp) and a little bit of pepper. Add these to the bacon. Gather the celery, carrots and onion. Pour them into the stockpot. Add the mushrooms in as well.

2 tbsp of flour
2 tbsp of cold water
12 ounce jar of onions (drained)
2 potatoes
1 tbsp of vegetable oil

Instructions

Begin this beef stew recipe by browning the meat in a saucepan. Put the vegetable oil in the pan with the beef. Toss in the celery and onion and sauté for 5 minutes.

Pour in the beef broth and let it boil. Set the heat to low. Let it simmer for 60 to 90 minutes. Next add in the carrots, apple juice and lima beans. Toss in the potatoes as well.

Let it simmer for 40 minutes and then toss in the corn kernels and onions. Cook it for 5 minutes. Get a bowl and add the flour and water. Mix it and add to the broth little by little.
