You don’t need to be an expert cook to whip up tasty lasagna recipes. Whether you cook lasagna regularly or for the first time, you’re bound to like these dishes.
Lasagna with Ricotta Cheese
2 cups of mozzarella cheese (shredded)
2 cans of mushroom soup
1 pack of frozen spinach (thawed and drained)
1 ½ cups of milk
2 cups of ricotta cheese
1 cup of parmesan cheese
3 cups of chicken breasts (cooked)
12 cooked lasagna noodles
Mix the soup and milk in a bowl. Mix the spinach, eggs and ricotta in another bowl. Pour half a cup of the soup mix in a baking dish. Put 4 lasagna noodles in there. Bring more flavors to this lasagna recipe by adding some ricotta cheese to the noodles.
Also add half the chicken and half of the mozzarella cheese. Pour in the rest of the soup. Repeat this process with the other lasagna noodles. Put the parmesan cheese at the very top. Bake it at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Let it cool down for 15 minutes prior to serving.
Lasagna with Sauce
8 ounces of lasagna noodle
16 ounces of ricotta cheese
2 tbsp of salt
8 ounces of mozzarella cheese
½ cup of parmesan cheese
1 tbsp of olive oil
The sauce ingredients for this lasagna recipe are:
3 tbsp of olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
2 tsp of salt
1 can (28 ounces) of tomatoes
1 lb of chuck
1/8 tsp of cayenne powder
2 tsp of sugar
1/3 tsp of dried basil
1 bay leaf
2 cups of water
1 can (6 ounces) of tomato paste
½ cup of onion (chopped)
Make the sauce about 45 minutes earlier than the lasagna. Sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil. Toss in the beef and brown it. Remove the fat and toss in the rest of the ingredients. Stir slowly.
Let it simmer for 1 hour without a cover. Cook the noodles in hot boiling water and 2 tsp of salt. Cook the noodles for this lasagna recipe for 25 minutes.
When the noodles are cooked, put them in a baking dish (2 ½ quarts will be fine). Put the ricotta cheese on top of it. Add some of the mozzarella cheese. Add the sauce. Top it off with the parmesan cheese. Repeat this layering process until you’ve used up all the noodles and sauces. Bake it for 45 minutes at 325 degrees. Do not cover it.
Never take your eyes away from the noodles when stirring as they could get stuck easily. You can also add more cheese if there isn’t enough for the layers. Also remember to get rid of the excess fat after sautéing the garlic and onion. These ingredients are good for three layers. You’ll need to add more noodles if you want more layers.
