Popover Recipe

Fast and Easy Popovers

Ingredients

1 cup of milk
¼ tsp of salt
2 eggs
1 cup of sifted all purpose flour

Instructions

Break the eggs and put them in a bowl. Pour in the milk and beat until they’re mixed. Put in the flour and salt. Keep beating the mixture until it becomes smooth. Grease the iron muffin cups and pour the mixture there. Bake it at 450 degrees for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, lower the heat. Bake this popover recipe for another 20 minutes. After baking, make a small cut so the steam can get out. Serve these muffins hot.

Popovers with Pecans

Ingredients

1 cup of milk
¼ tsp of salt
¼ cup of pecans (chopped)
1 cup of all purpose flour (sifted)
¼ tsp of salt
2 eggs

Instructions

Use a blender to mix the eggs and milk (three seconds is enough). Toss in the salt and flour. Put the cover on and blend it again for 10 seconds. Add the pecans and stir it. Pour in the custard cups until each is halfway full. Bake these popovers for 15 minutes at 475 degrees. This homemade popover recipe is ready when the muffins
turn brown.

Use a fork to make holes in the muffins a minute before cooking time ends. If you want crisp popovers, shut the oven off after 15 minutes and leave it there for 20 more minutes. Serve them hot.

Popovers with Salad Oil

Ingredients

3 eggs
2 tbsp of salad oil
1 cup of milk
1 cup of all purpose flour (sifted)
½ tsp of salt

Instructions

Throw the eggs and milk in the blender. Add the salt and blend them. When it’s mixed, pour in the flour. Keep blending until the mix turns smooth. Transfer the contents in greased popover cups. Fill each cup halfway through.

Bake this simple popover recipe for 15 minutes at 475 degrees. Lower the heat to 350 degrees and bake for another 30 minutes. Pierce each popover (with a fork) so the steam comes out. Serve these hot.

Popover with Cheddar Cheese

Ingredients

3 eggs
1 cup of milk
¼ tsp of salt
1 cup of all purpose flour (sifted)
½ cup of cheddar cheese (grated)

Instructions

Crush the eggs and put in a mixing bowl. Add the milk and blend thoroughly. Toss in the salt and flour. Keep beating until the mixture gets thick. Pour these in custard cups until it is 2/3 full. Bake these at 425 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. It’s ready when the muffins turn brown. Top it with cheese before serving.

Popovers with Mixed Nuts

Ingredients

1 cup of flour
1 cup of milk
2 eggs
A cup of mixed nuts
½ tsp of salt

Instructions

Mix the eggs, salt and milk in a blender. Add the flour to the mix. Toss in the nuts. Pour them in custard cups. Bake them for 20 minutes at 425 degrees. Lower heat to 350 and bake for another 20 minutes.
