Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

If you’re getting tired of the usual macaroni and cheese recipes, it’s time you opt for something different. These dishes will show you that there’s more to this classic food than you may realize.

Macaroni and Cheese with Paprika


6 cups of cooked macaroni
½ tsp of salt
4 tbsp of butter
¼ tsp pepper
2 cups of milk
¾ cup of cheddar cheese
4 tbsp of flour
½ tsp of paprika


Put the butter in a saucepan and melt it at low heat. Add the flour and stir the mix until it turns bubbly. Add the salt and stir. Add the milk. Keep stirring until this macaroni and cheese recipe sauce gets thick. Throw in the cheese.

Keep stirring until the cheese melts. Put a layer of macaroni in an 8 x 10” baking dish. Top it with the sauce. Repeat this as often as desired. Sprinkle it with paprika. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Macaroni and Cheese with Bacon


3 cups of elbow macaroni (uncooked)
3 tbsp of flour
2 tbsp of onion (minced)
Salt and pepper
2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
2 cups of cheese
1 cup of evaporated milk
1 lb of bacon


Cook the macaroni per packing instructions. Put the cooking liquid in two cups. Cook the bacon and place it on paper towels. Remove all but 1 tbsp of the bacon drippings. Add the 2 tbsp of flour and stir it.

Add the milk while stirring. This macaroni and cheese recipe requires this mixture to be boiled. When it’s boiled, add the onion and Worcestershire sauce. Add the cheese. Heat until the cheese melts. Add in the macaroni and mix them. Top with the bacon.

Macaroni and Cheese with Horseradish


1 cup of milk
1 tbsp of flour
2 tbsp of butter
2 cups of cooked macaroni
1 cup of cheese (shredded)
2 tsp of salt
1 tbsp of horseradish
1 cup of ham (diced)
2 tbsp of prepared mustard


Melt the butter in a pan over medium low heat. Add the flour and stir until the mix becomes smooth. Add milk while stirring constantly. When the sauce bubbles, you can add the cheese to this tasty macaroni and cheese recipe. Add the macaroni. Add salt to flavor it. Transfer this into a casserole.

Gather the remaining ingredients and pour over the macaroni. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Simple Macaroni and Cheese


2 cups of macaroni
1 stick of margarine
1 tsp of salt
½ tsp of pepper
1 can of milk (evaporated)
1 tsp of paprika
½ cup of grated cheese (mild)
½ cup of grated cheese (sharp)
2 eggs (beaten)


Boil the macaroni and dry it off. Coat it with margarine. Flavor it with salt and pepper. Cover it with the cheeses. Pour in the milk and eggs. Top it off with paprika. Bake it at 350 degrees until the macaroni turns brown.

Simple macaroni and cheese recipes are usually bland. But as these examples show, you can always make them better.
